11-Day WALKING SWEDEN - Escorted by Jane Reed - June 3, 2017
Glenyce Johnson and Jane Reed met in 1994 whilst working together in the advertising industry. Based on their professional respect for each other and a shared passion for many interests outside work – notably travel and walking, they became friends. One of the many experiences they have achieved together is walking 100kms in 48 hours for the Oxfam Trailwalker fund raising event.
Glenyce, originally from Warrnambool, left her country town to travel the world, returning to Melbourne eight years later. Following a five-year stint at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, she aligned her passion for travel by joining Peregrine Adventures, initially as the Financial Controller in 1999, before her appointment to Managing Director in 2005. In 2006, Glenyce was awarded Telstra Business Woman of the year for the Private & Corporate Sector. In 2013, Glenyce completed a life-changing journey walking the Camino de Santiago, an 800km pilgrimage across France and Spain; her mantra then became ‘more walking, less working’ and sharing the travel she loves.
After a career spanning 22 years in advertising agencies, including 3 years at Saatchi & Saatchi, Jane moved to head up Marketing at Jenny Craig, and in 2000 she was appointed Managing Director. Jane has hiked many trails through Europe, and trekked in the magical Himalaya on a number of occasions. Jane also had the opportunity to combine her love for travel when she joined Peregrine Adventures in 2004 as Marketing Director and once again was professionally reunited with Glenyce.
Given their passion for travel, and appetite for new destinations, Glenyce and Jane have explored over 100 countries across all seven continents.
They are now committed to offering their travel experience for others to enjoy, through Wandering the World.
